Precision Tune Auto Care

I left my old Nissan Maxima in the care of Precision Auto Tune to diagnose my electrical issues causing my car not to start and regretted it. They told me my key fob missing my “security chip” might’ve been causing an issue, but a 2 minute google search told that my car was not made with fobs that included chips. they then said it would need to be taken to an electrical specialist, and offered not to have me pay for the diagnostic fee which was appreciated, but when i checked my car after picking it up, i noticed my airbox was sitting in my backseat completely disconnected. after investigating under my hood, i noticed multiple vaccuum hoses were left disconnected and two (atleast that i noticed) bolts were missing from different sections. i was shocked my car was able to start and leave the parking lot with how much was in disrepair. Considering my car is from 1995 and fairly simple to work on, i can’t imagine how they would treat a more modern car with more complicated systems and electrics. Do not trust Precision Auto Tune, as they will treat your car with disregard as they did with mine.

As a student at UGA, I’m so glad I found this shop! They have always been very hospitable and had reasonable prices, but their integrity is also a great quality. They have never tried to sell me a service I didn’t need. They also checked my car for different services when it was due once and let me know the ones I didn’t need and that they wouldn’t charge me for. I’ve gotten my oil checked and tires rotated, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone in the Athens area!

Great service!! I was recommended this place from some guys from Advance Auto Parts and they commended their ability and trustworthiness. The guy at reception was kind and helpful. I came in with an extremely bad coolant leak and they got me fixed and squared away in no time (granted they said I came in at the prefect time). Regardless, I’m happy and driving with a cool engine and cooler ac 😎

The best shop in Athens. Very great communication. Great mechanics. Never had any problems after any fix and I've been coming here for 5+ years. Best spot around

I was referred to Precision by a friend after a poor (and expensive) experience elsewhere. Our experience here was fantastic. From the beginning, all of the employees were knowledgeable and kind, even driving my husband home so he would not have to get an uber. Upon looking at my vehicle they were able to quickly diagnose the problem and begin work. Once work was done they test drove it to confirm that all problems were fixed and gave us follow up steps to ensure that all is well with the vehicle in the long term. They were honest and helpful in all parts of the process, which can be hard to find. We have found our new auto shop!
